I used papers from Cosmo Cricket's Clementine Mini Deck (6X6). On the bottom I stamped with Vera Mark and embossed in clear, using Penny Black's Slapstick/Cling. I then used Distress Ink, Mowed Lawn over the embossing. I added a sticker from Cosmo Criket's Togetherness stickers and three gems. I rounded the corners and popped the sentiment.
I'm going to try this again with totally different papers. I'm thinking this card might be too busy.
You are close - maybe a more neutral bottom paper with the sam embossed pattern. Good try with the technique, though.
