Day 8 Card 2

I used three colors of alcohlol inks for the bkgd for the ornament.  I then embossed the inked paper with silver embossing powder.  I dry embossed the front of this card and punched out the ornament shape.  I 3 D it under the front.  I added silver marker hanger.  Then I put down a block with the embossing pad, covered it with silver embossing powder and heated it.  I did that 4 times, in order to have something that looked like metal.  Right after the 4th time, I inked my sentiment with the embossing pad (so it wouldn't stick) and stamped it into the silver rectagle.  Then I cut around my sentiment and 3D that.  It really looks like metal and I think it goes great with the silver embossed image.

Day 8 Card 1

Can't wait to give this to the grandmother of this special baby!  I threaded the ribbon through the card and made a bow on the inside --that will be the ornament.  I added an isolated bow on the outsdie to make it look like it's tied around the bough.  Jennifer is right, the mirror sheets are VERY reflective.  You can see my reflection taking the picture of this card.

Day 7 Card 3

I had so much fun with this.  Who knew you could color stamp with the back side of your stamps.  Once the color was down I white embossed the designs.  What fun!

Day 7 Card 2
I only have the one reverse stamp.  Not sure why the clear doesn't show up as much as Jennifer's.  Maybe I need more ink.  BUT I do like the look when I add the white embossing.

Day 7 Card 1

I used a reverse stamp and inked it in black.  I used Distress Ink, Peacock Feathers and added gel pen to the stars and top of the snow.  I wet embossed Peace & Joy with silver powder  and mounted this onto black and then added it to a white base card.

Day 6 Card 2
I tried the water colors, but didn't have an open enough stamp to have it work, so I used markers to color in this bird.  I dry embossed the white strip with snowflakes and wet embossed the sentiment.

Day 6  Card 1

Jennifer used my favorite colors so I wanted to try my card with those same colors.  I used Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean.  First I stamped a white Swiss Dot bkgd.  Then, since I've just started using dies, I didn't have any for a village so I used a stamp on sticky paper and made my mask that way.  I need more practice blending but I do love those colors.  This was quick and fun.

Bonus Day 2 Card 1

We were to use a non-holiday stamp in a holiday way.  You can see the original stamp in the picture on the wall.  It's a little boy fishing.  I used that little boy and have him waiting to open x'mas gifts.  I used the stamp on white paper for the base and three different patterned papers to cloth the boy.  I added Washi tape for a wooden floor and a patterned paper for wall paper.  I 3D'd the tree and added bling.  Then added a few packages and a small version of the original stamp as a picture on the wall so you could see what I started with.  This was fun.  I love it when we can use our supplies in many different ways.

Bonus Day Card 3
I used blues and purples with silver embossing for this card.  Not sure it shows up well, but it's really pretty in person.

Bonus Day Card 2
In person the colors are warmer, but I went out of my comfort zone using pinks and browns.

Bonus Day Card 1
I used my Cricut to cut the animals out of suede.  I cut and inked paper for the snow and stamped  and fussy cut the trees.

Day 5 Card 3
I added Stickles to the bkgd patterned papers.  I cut out trees and snow hills.  I inked the snow hills in blue and added a sentiment.  Even with the fussy cut trees, this card didn't take very long to make.

Day 4 Card 3
Loved the ideas of the "easy" patchwork on the side.  I used a lot as this is a whimical card.  I found the fence and the boy on "free digi stamps" and added Stickles.  Next time I would use pencil on the fence so it doesn't bleed into the snow.

Day 5 Card 2
Sorry about the lighting, I took the pic after dark.  I will add Stickes to the center and let that dry over night.  This was another fun card to make.  I liked choosing the different patterned papers and embossing the middle strip.  I added a three layer pointsettia to finish off the front.

Day 5 Card 1
I really like the sudtle bkgd with the Versamark Ink.  I tried the Perfect Pearls tag 3 times.  I'm thinking it will take a lot of practice to get it looking good -- for me anyway.

Day 2 Card 1
I used Stampin Up roller on the sides and a bkgd stamp for the center panel.  I used an ornament punch for the cut out and punched a patterned paper for the inside ornament.  I added 2 strips and the sentiment.

Day 4 Card 2
This card was a lot of fun to make.  I did the masking off of the bird.  First I masked everything but the bird and colored him in with two colors of Distress inks.  Then I masked off the bird and added the "sky" effect.  I then colored in the branch and berries.  Last thing I did was to stamp the sentiment.  Since the image is so small, I went for a larger sentiment.

Day 4 Card 1
I used blue pencil around everything and it did make things stand out more and the whites seem more white.  Like that idea.  I 3D the lamp post, but the rest is the same layer.

 Day 3  Card 2
I liked the soft look of this card.  I also wanted to try the sparkly snowflakes.  I kept the snowflake theme with the dry embossed piece and the wet embossed strip.

Day 2 Card 2
I used Stampin Up Roller on the sides in green.  I used a bkgd stamp on the center section.  I used an ornament punch (I don't have many dies yet).  I added a 3D bow and a sentiment.  I punched the ornament out of patterned paper for the inside.
Day 3 Card 1
I used the score board to make the plaid and I used Distress inks to color it.  I added white fake stitiches, an ornament stamp, and Glossy Accents to that.  I kept to mostly one color scheme.

Day 1  Card B
I used Post-It Label Roll to mask off the place for the greeting.  I made a "cheat sheet" so I could more easily reproduce this.  I really like that idea.  I scored where my greeting is, but would make the masked off area a little larger since it went over my letters.  I used Distress Inks and tried to choose fall colors.  I also marked my score board in two places like Jennifer did.  It's been a problem in the past, but it was hard to make myself do it.  It works really great though!
Holiday Card Workshop Day 1

This is one of my Day 1 creations.  I used colored pencils for the owl and I stamped the scarf on patterned paper. I popped the owl twice to really stand out from the bkgd paper.

Alphabet Day 3 Card 3

I masked off the outside and stamped with Distress Inks.  I then used a water brush and filled in the banners.  I stamped my name and then saw that I had some pink ink in the wrong place so I added the banner with the sentiment on it.

Alphabet Day 3 Envelope

I need practice lining up my letters better, but this was fun.  Are you kidding---another surface to stamp, a stampers heaven!

Alphabet Day 3 Card 1

For this card I stamped the letters and then masked them off.  I used a "cheat sheet" to select placement and help with the different colors.  I am going to use this card to thank a friend for taking me to the airport tomorrow.  Very simple and clean look---my love!

Collage Day 2 Card 3

This card was made by stamping the same collage stamp three times, once on cream, on red, and on white.  I used Distress Ink to outline all the cream pieces.  I colored the white pieces.  Then I mounted it to a green base card.

Collage Day 2 Card 2

For this card I stamped the same collage stamp three times, on blue, cream, and white.  I left the blue one as is, I used Distress Inks on the cream, and colored in the rose on the white.  I mounted them on a darker cream base and used some Distress Ink around that as well.

Day 2 Collage Card 1

For this card I put some of the newest Distress colors on my work surface and put my waterpaper down on top of it, moving the paper around a bit.  Then I dried it and added another layer with the left over ink.  I then sprayed it with Perfect Pearls and dried it again.  I then used a background stamp with writing on it.  I inked the stamp, stamped once on scrap paper and wiped some of the middle off before stamping over my inked paper.  Next I black embossed the stamped butterflies.  I followed the same procedure for the cut out butterfly and added it to the card with a glue dot.  Next time I'd black emboss that butterfly as well.

Day Card 3:  I used a bkgd stamp on this card and added dazzles.
Day 1 Card 2   I used the zig zag background stamp for this card.  I stamped two different colored papers and then cut them in strips.  I also used the bkgd stamp on the flowers.

Background Stamps

I used the dotted background stamp for this card.  I added different colors of ink to give it a different look.  I haven't made a stamp yet, as I don't have the Distress Reinkers.

I used the zig zag background stamp and stamped two different colored papers.  Then I cut them in strips and alternated them on a base paper.  I then mounted it to the base card and added the sentiment and flowers.  The flowers were also stamped with the background stamp.  I finished it off with a gem.
